Question 2
Telemarketing 'do not call' question?...  We're on the national do not call list. We get a call 3-5 times a day from a specific company. I have asked them several times in the last week to be put on the do not call list, but they hang up on me and call back in a few hours.

I discovered today that the company has business with someone else in the home, at the same number, but they're not calling about her account, just to sign us up with this credit card service.

Today I tried to call them back, but the number that was on my caller ID was someones cell phone who wasn't with the company.

The fact that I've asked about 5 times for them to put me on their do not call list says something, the fact that they hang up on me says more, but the cell phone thing is just too much. Is there any way we can sue, or at least have their practices checked by someone from the government or something?

Any information is greatly appreciated!
Gomanyes, if I could pick a winning answer now, you would be it. I'll try and see if I can get it in a day or two. Thank you for reading the question before answering. Everyone answering "Put your name on the do not call list" is really disappointing. Thank you for giving me a real answer, even if it was short!

Answers
1)   When they call use a different accent and say " nooooooo they do not live here anymore." And if they keep calling get there nuber blocked. (call your phone service and tell the the number and get it blocked) - The Person

2)   You can report it to the FTC. Check their website. - gomanyes

3)   First thing you want to submit your number to the National Do Not Call Registry that will inhibit most telemarketers, sounds like your stalker may have a loophole, if a company has had any previous business they are then permtted to call you (on the assumption it's customer support calls)

Some foreign callers are out of federal jurisdiction and may persist, you might remind other of the per violation fine, which I have seen reported to be somewhere between $1000 and $16000.

Can't you set a block for that particular number? - Jakester

Question 4
What is the best way to promote my site dangrabat?...  I get a lot of hits already, but I want way more!

Answers
1)   If you are looking for free of cost ways then I highly suggest using blogs related to your website, answer some questions and mention your website as a reference. It travels fast and is real effective word of mouth marketing. - G K

2)   You should post in some forums that relate to the subject of your site and always use a link to your site in your signature. Post once a day at least in the forums. You can push your site to the front page of the search engines for more organic traffic or you can simply buy visitors either through PPC campaigns or just traffic buying sites. You can also write articles on the same subject and put a strong call to action in your author bio. Good Luck ! - TerranceWilkins

Question 5
as anyone been successful selling things on ebay? would you recommend starting a business on ebay?...  if not, wha do you recommend. I have alot of clothes that have only been worn once and I have other things too, to sell but mostly clothes.

Answers
1)   I have sold off and on for several years on Ebay. There have been some changes to ebay that make is not so good for the sellers anymore. You can no longer leave negative feedback for people that don't pay, you are responsible for the items in transit, regardless if the buyer pays for insurance, and the list goes on. I would recommend that you register with Ebay as a seller, check out what is for sell that is similar to what you have. Are the items selling? Are they selling for a price that you would accept on your items? Be sure to check out how much ebay will be charging for listing your items, and how much of your money that Paypal will be getting. Paypal is one of the few approved methods of payment accepted on ebay. Figure in how much time it will take for you to list your items, plus all these other fees, and ask yourself 'Is it really worth it?' That is really the only way for you to decided if Ebay is worth it or not. Good luck with your endeavors! - Amy

2)   Ebay can be good if you have good products at lower prices or rare hard to find stuff/collectibles. You're better off selling your clothes at a flea market. Rent a table or you can have a garage sell.... - Tiger
